Exploring liminality and invisible borders, the 6 channel video piece documents crossing the Northern Ireland-Republic of Ireland border via bus on missed Brexit leaving dates. It also documents the controversial practice of Gardaí stop searches aboard these buses, targeting PoC and foreign national passengers at the border.

Beginning 29th March 2019 and ending on 31st December 2020 each video documents a bus journey from N.I to ROI or ROI to N.I

When shown side by side, the videos become a seamless return between both sides, they are endlessly looped to reflect the liminality of life during Brexit negotiations.

The only indication of a border between both sides, is a pause in one video during a controversial passport check, where a fellow passenger is racially profiled. This happens within the common travel area, from Kileen to Ravensdale between Feede and Black mountain. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the final journey was completed by car.
