‘Where My Heart Beats, I Belong’ is a looped 2 channel video piece, which explores the body as a place to anchor home and belonging.

Influenced by the writings of Neil Leach and Anne-Marie Fortier, the piece is influenced by their work on how repetitive body actions become ways of reclaiming place and performing belonging.

The video piece considers the heartbeat a repetitive bodily action, allowing being in a place over time to constitute belonging. Alongside small fragments of stone and earth on the body, the pulse is subtly visible on the neck and wrist.
